Welcome to Room One’s webpage!
Ms. Ridge is the teacher in Room 1 which is Opua School’s reception class where we welcome the youngest members of our school community. Ms. Ridge is focused on meeting the specific learning needs of our youngest students in the early years of their education.
In the gallery you will see images that reflect “All About Me” our learning focus for the first few weeks of school. We have been learning our pepeha and talking about our whanau. You will also see some reading responses that we have done about “The King’s Cake.” and “What Does the Tide Bring In?”
We are currently beginning our new unit of work based on Te Ngahere/Paptuanuku, you might have noticed the excitement about weta and other creepy crawlies. Watch this space for some wonderful weta artwork coming soon!
